Healing as a life path,
Life as the ceremony
Ayni
“today for you, tomorrow for me,”
“Ayni” is the Andean word for the sacred art of reciprocity, suggesting that giving comes before receiving.
The essence of ayni is sacred reciprocity. Ayni emerges out of a universal perspective in which importance is placed on the relational flow of energy as a process of establishing and maintaining balance. Ayni can be seen as a code of conduct - a sacred agreement to engage in a balanced exchange between self and other.
To honor and echo this sentiment, it is essential to me that the proceeds from my work find their way back to the very communities that have shared their sacred knowledge with me. This act of giving back is a gesture of gratitude and respect for their heritage, preserving their traditions and supporting their well-being for they are the true earth keepers and protectors of this planet.
By embracing Ayni in my healing journey, I create a beautiful circle of reciprocity. I receive precious insights and teachings from these indigenous tribes, and in return, I contribute to their communities' prosperity and the preservation of their cultural legacy.
This experience has taught me the importance of cherishing and protecting traditional knowledge. It is an honor to become a guardian of their wisdom, ensuring that their heritage continues to thrive and enrich the world.
In every healing practice I engage in, I carry with me the profound essence of Ayni. It reminds me of the interconnectedness of all beings and the responsibility I bear to be mindful of my actions and their impact on the broader community.
Ayni is not merely a concept but a way of life that has touched my soul deeply. It has instilled in me a sense of purpose and gratitude, inspiring me to tread this path of sacred reciprocity with the utmost reverence and sincerity.
